We help our clients solve challenging business situations. To do this we combine extensive practical and theoretical knowledge and experience, with our client’s expertise in their own businesses, to implement pragmatic solutions that have meaningful, tangible and lasting positive impacts on their organizations.
Our costs are agreed upon upfront before we start any work. We propose a solution that is scaled to our client’s particular needs. A typical engagement will start with an initial assessment that costs between $5,000 and $10,000 depending on the number of client stakeholders involved.
We work with all kinds of businesses across many industries. They usually have a few characteristics in common:
- They are facing a challenge, an opportunity, or both. All of their knowledge and experience from the past are not enough to find solutions
- They know when to ask for help. No matter how successful someone has been in the past, the time will come when it is time to seek outside expertise
- They are open to changing things, even if "they've always done it that way."
- They feel passionate about their business and everyone in it, and they feel it's their personal responsibility to protect and grow both
All of our engagements start with a simple phone call. Usually, in 30 minutes, you can decide if it makes sense to go forward with us.
We are a small firm with a select handful of consultants. That being said, you will start with me, the founder. Together, we will find the right match between your needs and our talent.
There are many excellent consulting firms out there, and sadly, many more are not so excellent. We feel that we have a lot in common with excellent firms. We have one major difference; we will never upsell you. We will only agree to do more work with you if you ask us first. In this way, we feel we are unique.
As with consulting firms, there are also many excellent consultants. Unfortunately, many more are not excellent. We pride ourselves on being caring, passionate people who leave our egos at the door. This means we will never feel superior to you, and we will never make you feel as if we do. We feel it is a privilege to work with every one of our clients.
Our engagements can last anywhere from 1 month to multiple years. We passionately believe that you should not pay if you do not feel you are receiving value. That means you have the option to cancel any engagement within the current month, and you are only obligated to pay for the services agreed to for that month.
- Reach out to us and introduce yourself. Let us know who you are, how we can reach you, and give us a sense of the challenge and/or the opportunity you are facing
- We will arrange a 30-minute phone call, scheduled at our mutual convenience. During that call, we will listen to you, and learn about what you need. We want to understand what it is that you are looking for
- We will put together a proposal for you to consider. This will include the following:
- Specific deliverables we will provide as part of an engagement
- How we will work with you and your organization
- How much it will cost
- If you decide to proceed, the first step will be to come in and meet with you and your core team. You can decide who gets to meet with us. The purpose is for you to explain what you've asked of us, and what you expect from your team
- We conduct a 1-month assessment of your organization's area(s) of interest. This includes a combination of structured interviews and anonymous surveys. This is intended to be as unobtrusive as possible, while at the same time giving us the information we need to clarify our approach
- We present to you a detailed proposal that lays out the following:
- Summary of the findings from our assessment
- Recommended actions you and your team can take to address our findings
- How we would work with your organization should you decide to proceed with an engagement
- How long we expect it will take
- If you agree to proceed we begin as soon as it is mutually beneficial. We work with you to continually verify that we are on track to deliver what was included in the proposal. And each month you decide if you wish to continue with the engagement.
- At the conclusion of the engagement, we present a Summary of the Results. This details all the changes made and shows how they align with the original assessment. This leaves your organization with enough information to maintain the tools and processes that were put in place during the engagement.
- Typically 6 months following the conclusion of an engagement we will contact you to see if you are interested in having us re-run the initial assessment. This 1-month exercise will tell you what is working well, and what needs to be done to get anything that may have slipped, back on track.
- If you are completely satisfied with the engagement it is our sincere wish that one or both of the following will happen:
- You introduce us to others like you who may benefit from our services
- You invite us to assess another area of your business in a similar manner
